5 Christmas Movies So Bad They’re Kinda Good
5 Christmas Movies So Bad They’re Kinda GoodThe best part of Christmas – other than all the festivities, of course – is the Christmas movies. Every year, Christmas is the time when the best of filmmakers come together to produce their best Christmas themed works. Many of them succeed, many fail, though some fail so spectacularly that it could be counted as a kind of success.
Convoluted plotlines, confusing love interests and occasionally something about Christmas - we count down the best (or worst?) Christmas movies on Netflix right now:
A Christmas Prince
While fairly recent, A Christmas Prince makes a strong contender for the best worst guilty Christmas indulgences of all times. While unanimously referred to as a pretty bad movie, people simply can’t stop watching it. Netflix tweeted that 53 – at least 53 – people watched this movie every day for 18 days straight.
Netflix even released a sequel, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, recently, so if you saw the original and thought it was hilariously bad enough to binge, this may just be for you.

A Dogwalker's Christmas Tale
A Dogwalker's Christmas Tale is the story of a 21-year old college student so entitled and annoying that it’s all you’d probably be able to discern from whatever else that’s going on. The movie is about her vacations, when she finds a job as a dog walker for a rich guy after she realised she maxed out her credit cards. She’s just her usual irritating self for a while, though as soon as she finds a guy and realises that there are plans to replace the dog park with a spa and salon, she tries to save it.
There are some lessons about redemption and morals to be taken here, too, though they would be more clearly visible if it was made by someone more competent.

El Camino Christmas
Originally marketed by Netflix as a movie about a Christmas that no one wanted, El Camino Christmas very quickly turned into the Christmas movie no one wanted, and yet chose to sit through it for some reason. It’s based on Eric Roth (played by Luke Grimes), who goes back to a small town to look for his father he had never met, but for some reason ends up holding five people hostages at gun’s point for Christmas. Much like the movie, his motivations are unclear, as is literally everything about this movie.
It makes for hilarious pointing-and-laughing, though, making it the perfectly bad Christmas movie to watch with the family.

You Can’t Fight Christmas
You Can’t Fight Christmas is the story of a decorator who loves Christmas a bit too much, tasked with redoing the fictional Chesterton hotel (which features in other bad Christmas movies, too) for the occasion. The problem is, however, the owner’s nephew and his business partner/girlfriend want to turn the hotel into a resort that has little to do with Christmas. It’s now upto her to stop that, as she really does love Christmas.
That’s pretty much the only clear motivation of a character you would be seeing in the whole movie, though, as you continue along this 87-minutes non-roller-coaster.

Pottersville
With an ensemble of actors generally not know to do movies this bad and a plot that should have never made it to written form, Pottersville takes the cake for possibly the worst Christmas movie ever made. Well all right, worst one in recent times, as we all know 1959’s Santa Claus is the worst.
Pottersville is the story of Maynard Greiger, who inexplicably starts donning an ape costume and terrorising his small town due to his marital problems. It’s so bad that you probably have to see it once to know it.
