The summer is here and I want to splash colours of all kinds at myself, so it’s no surprise that I was sitting in the parlour and getting my nails done when amongst the chatter I heard bole chudiyan play in the background. Well, what can I say? My parlour lady believes in making us women feel beautiful from the inside too - something our husbands fail at miserably. However, the song wasn’t the only thing playing in my head. Kjo our own desi Jlo who has the gift of the gab in his jholi has revealed the date of his Madame Tussauds wax statue launch in Singapore. He’s the first Indian filmmaker to be given this honour but then he did everything in his capacity to not be known only as a filmmaker na. This is where I’d like quote him, "I’ll even go to the opening of an envelope" and not surprisingly enough he is also inaugurating a 2,500 square metres of a new zone celebrating Indian cinema on the same date of the launch i.e. the 4th of April, 2019. On a second thought, I should probably call him to inaugurate my private home theatre too.
His excitement clearly shows on the video the Tussauds Singapore shared on their instagram account. It is so cringey I did not want to attach it to this article but you can take a look here. Maybe one day I’ll have my own wax statue at Tussauds, but till then I’ll just play with the 3-D printer at Lajpat Nagar and get various poses of myself 3D printed to look at. Why should the ‘light, camera and action’ be used only for these Bollywood stars, when Kitty has what it takes? Meow.
