Did The Prime Minister Of Pakistan Just Say This?
Someone needs geography lessons.I was flipping through channels in search for something interesting while my husband snored second night in a row and in my aimless search I stumbled upon a press conference. The joint press conference was conveying the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran and one of the delegates at the show was the Oxford educated Imran Khan. Yes, the Prime minister of Pakistan our very own neighbour. Well, at least I am up to date on my geography but Imran? Nay. You know what he said? He spoke to an entire conference about how Germany and Japan share a border and have strong industrial ties post Second World War. I mean, when I last went to Japan for shopping the country was an island, I’m hoping it still is. As expected a lot of the attendees were puzzled at his confidence because the sman must have wanted to talk about Germany and FRANCE but sigh!
The moment the goof up showed itself in the media, netizens from both side of the border i.e. India and Pakistan turned into keyboard warriors, shaming a man who should have studied his geography better. There’s only so much cricket can help you with, it took you to Oxford to study but did not let you open your geography text book. Next time Google map the countries before you talk about them. Meow!
