Guys! Our survival is becoming a question in the scorching heat of Delhi. No, it's not just the problem of continuous sweat and stench or looking fresh, and it's definitely not about you not being able to get into your favourite hot pants. Trust me, with, or without hot pants, you are probably looking hot. The problem is the loss of appetite in this heat. It is getting a little hard to imagine having chole bhature for breakfast or having samosas in the evening. So for our poor souls who have to bear the scorching heat of Delhi, we have listed some tasty summer salads that will not only keep you light on your feet but as well as keep you nourished and healthy.
Fresh Corn Salad
Fresh corn salad recipes are the easiest to follow and they are probably the best in the summer. The ingredients to make this salad are readily available and it is the most refreshing salad. If you find sweet corn hard to digest, substitute it with baby corn.

Nicoise salad is a French salad. One thing we love about making salads is that they are very forgiving. So if you can't stick to the exact salad nicoise recipe, it doesn’t really matter. For instance, instead of arugula, you can choose any green of your choice. When we tried it out, we substituted arugula with baby spinach. And instead of using pitted Kalamata olives, we used green olives. Further, this recipe also calls for tuna, but if you don't like it then you can substitute the protein as well. Instead, you can use half-boiled eggs. The main ingredients such as roasted potatoes and tomatoes smell did it all for us. Either way, this is an easy and a flavourful salad and you should try making it home this summer.
Tomato Salad & Chorizo by Jamie Oliver
Well, you don't have to go in the middle of a field to make this salad like Jamie did, but you do need a lot of tomatoes and garlic. Again like the previous salad recipes, you can change this one as well according to the ingredients available. Like, you can use normal white vinegar instead of using cherry vinegar as the recipe demands. Furthermore, if you can't find chorizo sausage you can use any type of sausage feasible for you. This is one of the most flavourful salads. Plus, I am sure you will agree if I say this salad is far from being boring. So, don't wait anymore try this salad out this summer.
Green Bean Salad
Well, this is the easiest and nutritious salad ever created. We even like this salad as a light snack in between meals. Even though this recipe is simple, it is far from being boring or flavourless. In fact, we were surprised how such simple ingredients are. Using green beans, almonds, olive oil and dijon mustard, we’ve attached a recipe for an easy green bean salad.

Different Fruit Salads
One cannot go through the summer without indulging in the seasonal fruits. So, this summer try to get creative with your fruit salads. Try the combination of fruits and berries that you have not tried before. For instance, try to mix feta cheese with watermelon, try out dragon fruit and star fruit, or try strawberry with cherry mixed with rose water. Do not hold back this summer and enjoy a nice, fresh bowl of fruit salad.
