With the monsoon season creeping up on us, our favourite hill stations are getting a tad slippery and we’re wondering where to go next. Only one place came to the mind: Udaipur. Also known as the city of lakes, Udaipur is a beautiful of nature and the city, the past and the present, and of luxury and austerity. In a world where people can’t pass even a single day without the help of technology or machinery, it's interesting to see a city which has reserved its original essence and redefined certain historically eminent places according to the present world.
Udaipur is the place for you if you are inquisitive about bygone eras. The oldest building in Udaipur is around 400 years old and still stands proud amidst the popular lakes. Come along with us as we introduce you to some of the incredibly beautiful and amazing places in Udaipur aka the Venice of the east and what all you can do there.
This city is filled with various palaces and havelis, but most of them have been turned into private hotels, so, unfortunately, most of us don’t get to witness the grandeur of some of the mahals. However, one of the oldest and the most beautiful palaces, The City Palace built in 1559, is open to the public. Don’t want to spend money on a guide?
