4 Bizarre Diets Which May (Or May Not) Work For You
4 Bizarre Diets Which May (Or May Not) Work For YouEvery New Year, everyone sets resolutions and it will not be unfair to assume that dieting tops this list, across the universe. Inevitably, many of the resolutions fall on their face pretty hard, shattering all the hopes of a new you, a better you. Well, it is not humanly possible for me to come and wake up each one of you and push you to the gym. However, out of goodwill I can pass on some bizarre diets to you that some people swear by. I do not take any responsibility of how the diet makes you look in the end, but then there are lab rats for a reason, right?
The beer and sausage diet
Who doesn’t love beer? Mix it in with some delicious sausage and you have a month long diet of pure fun (and no driving, please). This strange diet may sound like a recipe for a heart attack but apparently, it has its benefits. A man in Arizona follows this diet every year during the month of October(fest) and consumes 15,000 calories every week. It was done under the supervision of a doctor and the results? He lost 6 kgs and he lowered his cholesterol by a third. Reason? Doctors have discovered drinking one or two alcoholic drinks of any kind may decrease cholesterol level and insulin resistance. Irrefutable logic? You decide.
The low bacteria diet
Yes, bacteria you OCD cleanliness freaks! Eat bacteria but the good kind. If you eat sugary foods, they help the bad bacteria grow in your gut, you do not want that. So what do you eat? Pasteurised milk, pasteurised yogurt and packaged cheese made with pasteurised milk, protein heavy foods like well-cooked meats, pasteurised fruit juice, breads, bagels and pancakes! The good bacterium in your gut helps your metabolism. An inside tip? Try Kombucha.
The Starbucks diet
Don’t let your eyeballs jump out of their sockets! Christie Hall claims to have lost 38 kgs while she lived solely on Starbucks food. Her order at Starbucks consisted of the ‘healthy’ stuff sitting under the muffins and the brownies (paninis, sandwiches etc). Her calorie intake was 1,000 a day. You know what I think? The long queue at Starbucks alone will help you aid your weight loss. Multiply that by three visits a day.
The seven-day cabbage soup diet
You guessed it right, have soup. There will be soup for breakfast, soup for lunch and soup for dinner. This seven-day diet seems to have cemented itself in aiding weight loss. There are reports that you can lose up to 4 kgs in a week. It has to do with the liquid intake and hardly any calories. The cabbage soups consist of green onions, green peppers, tomatoes, celery, cabbage, carrots and mushrooms.
